Call Dr.-Klaus-Körper-Prize

The Dr. Klaus Körper Foundation was established in 2011 through the legacy of Dr. Klaus Körper. Dr. Klaus Körper was a GAMM member from 1966 until his death. He was born on July 6, 1930 in Hanover. After graduating from high school in Rinteln in 1950, he studied physics in Göttingen from 1951 to 1956 and received his doctorate in 1959 at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Munich with the thesis “High-frequency heating of a plasma cylinder in an axial magnetic field”. He stayed at the institute for some time, before holding various positions at Preussag AG and the Bölkow company, and finally joining the teaching profession in 1975. Dr. Körper passed away on April 7, 2008.
